  • Mar 18, 20184G (Great Gator Gravel Grinder)Plaza Licenciado Benito Juarez Park, 19825 SW 376 St Homestead, FLYeah Yeah, it’s number 5 of the 4G. So get back in your saddles and start getting ready for the southernmost un-southern gravel ride in the states. For the fifth year the 4G will be a great event to participate in and get a bit dirty!
    Proceeds will benefit Radio Lollipop at Nicklaus Children's Hospital.

    The routes will again cover a fun yet challenging amount of gravel, dirt, access roads and some pavement in the southernmost parts of Miami-Dade county. There will be the usual 32 mile and a 62 mile courses to choose from, plus some other shorter courses around the park for others to enjoy.

    This is a local fundraiser event wherein 100% of all donations will be directed to The Women's Breast & Heart Initiative (WBHI), a local 501(c)(3) non-profit that saves lives by connecting at-risk women with the prevention and early detection necessary to fight breast cancer and heart disease.

The FREEDOM TEAM of handcyclists, accompanied by sponsoring cyclist-buddies, will be leading out the group of riders. The event begins with with ONE LAP around the Homestead Miami Speedway Track. The Century (100 miles) and Metric Century+ (65 miles) head to Key Largo. The 29 and 42 mile courses continue through rural south Miami-Dade County.
  • SAG support will be available on all courses for mechanical and flat tire assistance, as well as transportation for cyclists suffering from fatigue.
  • Rest Stops along each route will be stocked with water, sports drinks, and energy snacks.
  • Lunch is included in your registration and is served upon return.
