Summary: Great bike with a couple of minor flaws, those being a rather harsh seat and, in my case, disc brakes that aren't quite up to par.Background: I first bought a road bike that I dearly loved from my test ride at the store. Then I tood it home to ride around my neighborhood, which isn't bad, but even the minor irregularities in my local roads were enough to render a teeth-jarring (literally) experience every time I took it out, so I decided to return it to look for a more real-world friendly bike. After a few test rides at my LBS, I settled on this one. In most ways, it's great. It looks good (in gray, not blue), rides well, is fast if you want it to be, changes gears magnificently, has a great riding position - not as vertical as a mountain bike; not as horizontal as a road bike - that's slightly aggressive. This bike is great for riding around on uneven pavement, sidewalks, roads with dirt on 'em or strewn with pepples, etc. My only complaints are that the seat isn't exactly comfy (it's not bad, just not soft), and the brakes on my bike don't perform anywhere near as good as on the one I rode at the store. The people there were great, so I'll take it back to have the brakes looked at to see what's up with them.

I commute 30 miles round trip 3 days a week and this bike is perfect for making good time on the hills and handling the Boston streets and traffic. Everything about the bike is as promised, a perfect commuter, surprisingly fast and can be rode pretty aggresively. Love the breaks, especially when I'm negotiating a steep slope...a great bike, great value.
