Cervelo built their fame on the principles of superior aerodynamic design, so it's no surprise that their P2 is so fast it has won the Ironman Kona and about every other time trial and triathlon out there. Its leading edge, from the slender fork blades to the hourglass head tube carve through the wind with ease. And as the air moves over the P2's gorgeous carbon it finds little resistance in the wing-like airfoil tubes, the smooth bottom-bracket transition, the deep rear-wheel cutout, or even the contoured seatstays and chainstays. Even more speed can be found in the internal cable routing to the hyper-sleek seatmast as you blaze to a new PR. Meanwhile, Cervelo's refined geometry and two-position seatpost let you dial-in the perfect clock-crushing position. And of course, this frameset also meets Cervelo's stringent performance requirements so it channels the power from the pistons you call legs like nothing you've ridden before.
|P2 frame details
|Cervelo's hourglass head tube, narrow front profile, and internal cable routing optimize aerodynamics and minimize wind drag.||The contoured chainstays and seatstays are curved toward the center to stay out of the wind and smooth the airflow.|
|The P2 has a streamlined rear-wheel cutout, which closely covers the rear tire. Its constant-width design ensures proper airflow from the seat tube to the rear wheel.||The horizontal top tube with integrated seatpost clamp minimizes the surface area of the bike further reducing wind drag.|
The P2's sleek, integrated seat-tube collar is hidden from the wind and allows easy removal of the seatpost for simple bike packing and transport, too.
The P2 seatpost uses Cervelo's Integrated Accessory Attachment (IAA) to secure behind-the-seat components, such as bottle cages, without the use of clamps.
