THE FIRST AERO JERSEY PROJECT WAS CALLED SPLIT SECOND When Castelli engineered the first aero jersey for road racing back in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aero was only for TTs. NOT YOUR OLD-STYLE WIND JACKET If you're like us, there's a reason you're not using your old-style wind jacket more. We made it completely waterproof and compact, and, as you'd expect from Castelli, we also gave it an amazing on-bike fit, yet it's still roomy enough to fit over a Gabba. Pros ride in thermal jerseys more than jackets since the intensity is high enough that they look for maximum breathability. They asked for this extremely warm and thickly brushed fleece fabric that is comfortable in fairly cool conditions yet maintains excellent wicking and breathability since there's no membrane to trap the moisture in. The ideal tight for most of your winter riding, the Velocissimo is focused on comfort for riding in mild to cool conditions. We've used our Thermoflex fabric for most of the tight.
